A Catholic Education at Mount de Sales

How we are celebrating our faith

Catholic Schools Week is a time when all Catholic schools across the nation share why Catholic education is unmatched in educating the whole student - spirit, mind, and body. Not only does Catholic Schools Week each year highlight what Catholic Schools do every day to help mold our future leaders and saints, but it also gives a glimpse into the beautiful tradition of our faith we live out throughout each day. This year’s theme is Catholic Schools: United in Faith and Community.

This year for Catholic Schools Week, we are celebrating our Catholic identity on and off campus through themed events and activities. We will also show heartfelt gratitude for our community, faculty, students, partner schools, supporters, and so many others who make us who we are at Mount de Sales.

We invite you to learn more about why we are a community called to excellence and how all Cavaliers, students and faculty alike, come together for this special week to spread the light of Christ to others as his disciples.

Catholic Schools Week may just be one week, but we live our faith year-round.

A community called to excellence since 1876.

Donuts for our Catholic partner schools!

We delivered donuts to St. Joseph’s, St. Peter Claver and Sacred Heart who were all celebrating today in different ways!

St. Joseph’s students and faculty were all celebrating this morning in their PJs!

We participated in Sacred Heart’s “Pep Parade” today on campus and our band members played with current SHCS students while celebrating on campus!

We kicked off our collection drive for “All About Animals” today to help animals in need during their transition from shelter life. Donations will be accepted through February 14, 2024. This donation drive is organized by our club, “Critter Crew” at MDS.

St. Joseph’s Catholic School students prayed for all faculty and staff today and delivered personalized prayer cards which were given to each faculty and staff member individually.

Prayer is the best gift! Thank you to SJS students for your heartfelt prayers for all of us here at MDS.

Friday: Celebrating Faculty & Staff

Our students gave each faculty and staff a flower from a spiritual bouquet. Each card explained that a student prayed for each member of our faculty & staff.

Our parents also gifted our faculty and staff with a delicious breakfast spread this week as a thank you!

These are just a glimpse into the events we held on and off campus this week! Students also attended prayer services, adoration and helped our partner schools all week long.

Thank you for a beautiful week celebrating our Catholic identity!
